The scholarship will support an outstanding international postgraduate student to complete a one-year masters course at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Kingston University London. The scholarship will cover a large portion of tuition fees for the applicant, up to the value of £11,100

About the scholarship
Open to one-year masters students who have applied to begin a course of study in the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences in the academic year 2024-25

Open only to those with international fee status. We welcome applicants from all around the world, although priority will be given to female applicants currently living in Iran
Will be used to partially cover tuition fees to the value of £11,100. Any remaining tuition fees are to be covered by the scholars themselves

Students applying to study part-time, over two years, are eligible and the scholarship will be split over two years of study

This can be used in conjunction with the alumni discount or postgraduate progression scholarship if applicable
Students applying for one year's study and a placement are eligible, but only for the first year of study, not for the placement year
Please ensure you have an offer to study at Kingston University in the 2024-25 academic year, although you do not have to have formally accepted it when applying for the scholarship

Additional information
A named scholarship is a prestigious award that recognises merit and motivation, not only financial need. Named scholars are chosen through a selection process. A panel of faculty members will review applications and the donor will have the opportunity to participate in the shortlisting process. The donor does not correspond with applicants and the decision of the panel is final
To say thank you and show the impact of such a generous gift, Niloufar's family will be sent yearly updates on the scholar's progress. We hope and expect that scholarship recipients will value the opportunity to help honour and celebrate Niloufar's memory and will therefore be open to communicating with both Kingston University staff and Niloufar's family

How and when to apply
Applications will open at 9am on 8 January 2024 and close at 11.30pm on 15 May 2024 for entry in the 2024/25 academic year

All applications received by the deadline will be given equal consideration and are not assessed on a first-come, first-served basis. We will notify successful applicants by Friday 14 June 2024

Applying for this support does not guarantee that you will receive it. Please ensure you have other arrangements to support your costs of university in the event you are unsuccessful

As a recipient you are expected to be responsive to inquiries from the University staff compiling progression reports and managing the relationship with the Donor. Communication between the Donor and the recipient must always be mediated by the University
